Goddesses of Love

It’s valentines day so I thought it was a great day to do a post on some of the Goddess of Love

Hathor is the beloved cow headed goddess from Egypt. The cow represents mothering and the giving of milk to sustain life.  That is why Hathor is known as goddess of love, nurturing and Motherhood.  She was also known as the Goddess of joy, music and dance.

Message for Hathor

Hathor’s message for us today is to remember to love. To be in an open hearted space that is filled with the exquisite joy of unconditional love.  Put aside any differences you have had with love ones and find in your heart forgiveness and compassion.  A rift from your loved ones causes a rift in your heart.  Don’t waste another precious second on petty feuds and resentments, reach out today and help all hearts to mend and re-experience the joy of being together once more.  We can call on Hathor to help us find this forgiveness and compassion.

Guinevere

Guinevere was best know as King Arthur’s Queen. However she was also a Goddess of the land and according to some legends, Arthur had to married her before he could become High King of Britain.  She is a very powerful Goddess of love and fertility and she helps keep true love alive.

Message from Guinevere

Dear Sweet ones, the path to love begins inside. First you must love yourself and make yourself whole.  If you do not love yourself then there is no way anyone else will ever be able to love you enough for you to find that security and love you so desire.  Take some time each day simple to be with yourself and get to know yourself.  Within you there is a light brighter and more beautiful than you can ever imagine, but you must find the stillness within yourself to discover your light.  Only once you find the love and beauty within yourself will you find your true love.

Mary Magdalene

There is much controversy about Mary Magdalene and the role she played in the life of Jesus. She has been called everything from a prostitute to a High Priestess and Goddess.  Some say she was a teacher and wife of Jesus.  We do know she gave herself in service and love to Jesus, offering him support and comfort at his darkest times.

Message from Mary

Love is never selfish, it is about what you can give, how you can be of service and how you can uplift. However the Divine Feminine within all of us is also receptive and intuitive.  To come into your power you need to have balance of the inner masculine and the inner feminine.  Once you have that balance within you, you learn to take care of your own needs.  From this place your desire for a partner goes way beyond what you need, what you can get from them and looking for them to heal your unresolved issues.  Therefore you enter a relationship with balance and harmony within and the relationship becomes about fun, enjoyment and desire to be together in deep friendship, trust and intimacy.  Learn about yourself so you can know what you needs are and how to fulfill them and not try to pressure and manipulate someone else into doing that for you.
